Exciting news to share!!

I'm excited that I can finally share with you that one of my cards has been published!!  Complete Cardmaking 50 features Doodle Pantry images that make wonderful birthday cards for kids. Here is mine...

This was so fun to make!!  I used the digi paper, image, and sentiment from Toy Truck Ants.  I sized the digi paper 2 different sizes to get the effect I wanted.  The Kraft, blue, and image are cut with Spellbinders Labels Three.  Everything is inked with TH "tea dye."  I printed the truck three times then fussy cut the cab and bucket and tires and popped them up a bit.

Kraft Natural Twill Tape and a Making Memories jumbo brad finished it off.   I have a MS truck punch so I used that on the inside.

I'm so excited and can't wait to get my copy of Complete Cardmaking!!

Thanks so much for stopping and have a blessed day!!  Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see the June release at Doodle Pantry!!  Some awesome masculine sets coming!!

Verse bookmark

Today I've got a bookmark to show you that we made for our Mother/Daughter Lunch earlier this month. Several ladies from my church helped and we had a fun together as we worked on these!   We made over 80 of them. :)

We started with 6.25x3.25 Kraft tags...

We stamped the back with Stampabilities "Distressed Background" in Memento Potter's Clay, stamped Hero Arts "handmade from the heart,"  and then inked the front edges with TH "walnut stain."

I printed Papercraft Memories' Romans 12:2 but I changed the color of the script words.   We used MS, EKSuccess, and Fiskars border punches on bottom, inked the edges, and adhered to tag.

The swirl is from Inque Boutique "Monarch" clear stamp set...

Adhered butterflies that were cut from Paper Studio Poetic Postage using Sizzix/Hero Arts stamp and die set.

We used 8" of ribbon for the tie...

They were all finished off with some glitter pen on the wings and a few adhesive pearls on the body.

Challenge...
Word Art Wednesday #134 - anything goes Scripture or uplifting sentiment
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - anything goes
Through the Craft Room Door TTCRD May 27-June 2 - anything goes
Creating in Faith, Hope, and Love FHL#8 - must use Scripture

Cool car!!

I've got a very cool car to show you!  Unfortunately, it's not a real car, but it's still cool, I think.  I must admit, my dream car has always been a red Camaro, but I would certainly not refuse a Corvette if one was offered! LOL

For this card, I used the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  There's still time to come play with us!! :)

My image is the outline from Doodle Pantry's Classic Corvette... well, sort of.  I say that because I colored this image last summer!  Corvette is a new release from Doodle Pantry, so how could I do that?  Laurie had a set of classic cars at Clear Dollar that I had purchased a few years ago.  The corvette outline was in it.  The new set has colored image and digi papers to go with it.  Very cool set!!  (I cannot remember where the sentiment is from!)  And Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 46 "Any Digi Goes" is open until May 24 at 9 PM!

My image and sentiment are cut with Spellbinders Small and Large Labels.  My paper is scraps of Basic Grey, I think.  The black  adhesive dots are from ???.

I'm submitting this to a few challenges...
613 Avenue Create #72 - anything goes w/ optional twist (I went with AG)
Digi Sketch Challenge 12th May - sketch and/or anything goes (I went with AG)
Die Cuttin' Divas #166 - happy birthday (I used Spellbinders Labels dies)
Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Summer, Here We Come (riding in a convertible!!)
Through the Craft Room Door TTCRD May 20-26 - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - vacation/travel
Shopping Our Stash #152 - birthday or anniversary (I obviously chose birthday!)

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Christmas... in May??!!??

When I first started my blog, I played along with some Christmas challenges and made cards all year long.  The last couple of years, I have been TERRIBLE and not made Christmas cards until the last minute.  But... I've got a Christmas card to show you today!!  I've turned over a new leaf!! :) Haha, no!  Actually, our printer is giving me trouble so I cannot print any images.  (That's really bad!!!)  So I was trying to do a bit of tidying up in my craft room and came across this image all printed and cut so I checked out a couple of challenge requirements and made a card with it.

The colored image and sentiment are from Doodle Pantry Mini Bethlehem.  My DP is scraps of Basic Grey "Wassail."   I used Spellbinders Standard Circles and Petite Scalloped Circles.  Some adhesive bling finished it off... I even used a few to put some "stars" in the sky.  :)

Word Art Wednesday #132 - anything goes (Scripture or uplifting sentiment)
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long #11 - anything goes
jingle belles JB:14:10 - "'Tis the Season to Jingle" (sketch + bling)

For the bride and groom - M5D new release

The season of graduations and weddings is upon us!  I've made a couple of grad cards, but today I have a wedding card for you.  This is made with one of the wonderful new releases available at McMahon Five Designs

My DP is all digi paper from Bella's Beauties "Romance Set 1 Papers."  The sentiment is from Imagine That! digis by Kris "Wedding Day."

Again, this is a card that looks much better in real life.  The pearl flourishes are almost invisible in the pic, but they are really pretty IRL.   I used Spellbinders Labels Five to cut the sentiment.  I made a double bow with the black ribbon.  Here is a link to the tutorial if you are interested...  double bow tutorial.  I bookmarked this quite awhile ago and refer to it whenever I forget this quick and easy method! :)

Please stop by the M5D BLOG to see all of the DT's creations this week!!! Sue has a busy summer ahead so this is our last release until fall, but the McMahon Five Designs store will be open all summer!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!

Flowers, flowers, flowers! - TMS #249

Happy Tuesday to you!!!  It is time for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  We've got a great sketch and wonderful sponsor for you this week!  :)

This week is our JUDGED CHALLENGE with a TWIST!!  Our twist is -- FLOWERS!!  That can be paper flowers, rolled flowers, punched flowers, flower brads, flowered DP... you get it... we just want to see flowers!

I love being on the TMS DT and love using sketches!   When I first started card making I struggled using a sketch and have now reached the place that I almost struggle without one! LOL  The last several weeks, I whipped up my cards for this challenge, but for some reason, this sketch really made me work!  I love the sketch and my results, but I sure struggled to get started on this one. :/

My sentiment is Doodle Pantry Assemble Together cut with Spellbinders Petite Ovals. The polka dot paper is Canvas Corp and the butterfly paper is DCWV Mariposa.  I got the felt floral ribbon in a prize pack awhile back.  The flower is Paper Studio.

Here's our wonderful sketch my Melissa...

Melissa is sponsoring again this week and the winner will receive a $10 voucher to Ellen Hutson, a wonderful online store!!

Play long for your chance to win and remember that for our judged challenge,
we also pick a Top 5!!  :)

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to go check out the creations from the rest of our DT...

Praying for a good day! -TMS #248

Happy Tuesday to you!!  It's time again for Tuesday Morning Sketches!!  I'll get right to showing you my card...

I love how this turned out, but I wish you could see the real thing!  Our old printer didn't really print the colors correctly so I had to deal with whatever came out.  LOL  We got a new one that prints correctly, but I could NOT get a good pic of this that really showed the color.  It is more aqua/turquoise (see digi paper below) but it looks so BLUE in the pic.  It is soooo much cuter IRL!!

Our sketch by Melissa... I love this one!!

Our sponsor this week is Deedee's Digis!!

Deedee generously provided images for the team to play with!  Thank you, Deedee!!!

For my card, I used...
~Deedee's Digis "Greatest Joy" colored image and sentiment - this is such a sweet set!!

~Ribbon from my stash

What girls like!! -M5D New Release

It is Friday and time for some new releases at McMahon Five Designs!!

It will soon be graduation time again, so I'm trying to get a head start on cards that I will need.  This is certainly not your "normal" grad card, but I like it.  The gift to go with it will probably be a gift card to the mall... so they can fill those bags! :)

My sets are by Daydream Designs.  The bags are from the new set "What Girls Like Accessories - Outline."  I printed them on Daydream Designs Beachscapes digi papers and cut them out.

This set is also available in color.

A coordinating set called "What Girls Like" is available in both outline and color.

Perfect sets for all those girly girl cards we need!!

K & Co graduation stack
Wrights ribbon
Paper Studio flower
Making Memories antique brad
M5D clear stamp "congratulations"
