Congrats! grad card

Want to see some beautiful flowers?  First off, I have black thumbs, so no credit goes to me because these irises were growing here at our house before we came almost 8 yrs ago, and they still bloom every year!  They are a little early this year and I'm glad because if they bloomed normally, I would miss them while we are on vacation!

Now for the card... I need grad cards for males this year, so no frills.

Challenges...

Celebrate the Occasion #63 - graduation

Tues AM Sketches birthday card

We only have 2 days of school left!!!!  If you are anywhere near on Friday afternoon, you just might hear me shouting "Hallelujah!"  :)  The kids did extra the last few weeks so we could be done before vacation the end of next week.  We'll have a few days to get ready, then we head out for VA... Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, here we come!!  Last year, we chose the hottest week of the year, I believe, so we're hoping for warm weather but not quite that hot!

I know that has nothing to do with my card, but I'm excited!!!!!   (I wonder if there are any good craft stores in that area?????)

Here's my card for Tuesday Morning Sketches #147 - follow sketch.  They are having a DT call over there, too.

After making so many Mother's Day cards, I needed to make some business note cards (it's nice to make money from having fun!!!), my parents are visiting, and we are having revival meetings at church, so this card was made in tiny bits and pieces of time.   But it's done, I like it, and I found 3 challenges for which it meets the criteria. :)

Mother's Day cards... The End

Warning... this post is very pic heavy!

Here is my 6th (and last!) post of the Mother's Day cards I made.  (And the decorations etc for the Mother/Daughter luncheon are below)  This morning the kids in junior church were so happy to make a card for their mother!  They were just as excited to add the Hershey bar to it!  :)

Here they are...
Quick and easy with a pre-made card

~K&Co paper for all
~the infamous Stampendous stamp (I told you that was the only one I had)
~Flora Doodles  ( I got them in several colors and they are great!)

I spent a lot of time during the last 2 weeks preparing for our Mother/Daughter Luncheon.  Some time spent VERY frustrated!!  I cut the letters for the banners from light pink several times and had to throw them away!  They would not cut cleanly!  [it was HL cardstock... but the dark was the same kind and it cut out well.  ???] Then I remembered that I had some Cricut 12x24 cardstock.  The color was just a little different, but the letters cut like butter!!!

"welcome" banner

rosette made of old music I had
Happy Mother's Day banner

Western font cut in MTC

treble clef cut from Quarter Note at 1 1/2"
On the walls...(all cut from Quarter Note)
trumpet

French horn

paino

eighth note

half note

lg rosette from old sheet music

flute

cello - why no violin on cart??

2 eighths

saxaphone
Here are the take home favors... flowers for ladies, sour cream containers (with kisses inside) for children...

I needed almost 50 of each
Forgot to take a pic of the program.  It had music in the background in pink (digi stamp) and the info in black.  They looked very vintage with all the spots my printer left on them!!

Thanks for stopping by!!  Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers!!

Mother's Day card take....??

I think I've lost count of the Mother's Day cards I've made!!  :)

This is for the challenge over at Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge #12 - sketch

CAS Mother's Day card

Mother's Day is tomorrow!  For my junior church kids, I made cards so the children from each family can give a card (and chocolate) to their mother.  {Not enough time to make one for every child to give!}  I need 9 of them made today, so I needed CAS designs!!  Challenge sketches to the rescue!  Best place to start?  clean&simple: 190  I made 2 using this sketch.

This has been a busy day... Mother/Daughter Luncheon, NYSSMA for my daughter, making 9 Mother's Day cards...  so I'm off to bed!!  I post more cards tomorrow.

I did have time to make 2 cards this afternoon, so here is the second one.  When I saw the sketch, I was not sure what to do, but once I started, it all came together quickly.  Now I just LOVE the sketch!! :)  It was really fun to work with!

Happy Mother's Day card

Finally, all the favors and decorations were made for our Mother/Daughter Luncheon tomorrow.    [Demented as I am, I forgot to take any pictures after decorating!  I'll try to remember tomorrow!]
Am I the only one who seems to spend soooooo much time, and when it is all done, it looks like it really should not have taken me all those hours??   Oh well!

On to Mother's Day!  My mother won't be here on Sunday, but my parents are coming on Tuesday, so that's not too far off!   They will come bearing ketchup chips and Crunchie bars, I hope!!!   :)

I teach junior church on Sunday mornings and wanted to make a card for each child to give their mother.  I only started today, so we may have to go with a card for each family, but we'll see how tomorrow goes.  Here's the first one...

Challenges...
Freshly Made Sketches #34 - sketch  --I realized that my paper actually has a distressed look to it... I hope that doesn't make my card "unclean"!! :)

Some yummies to share!!

I'm sorry that I've been so neglectful of my blog and blog visiting!!  It really is because I am crafting!   I am making the decorations, favors, etc for our Mother/Daughter Luncheon next weekend.  I will post some pics once that is all done, but I have kept busy with that and have not had much time for any other crafting.

We had some friends over for dinner tonight and everything was delicious!!!  That sounds a little arrogant since I was the cook, but it is true!  Here are the recipes...  (pics are from the blogs... we ate all ours!)

Easy Peasy Chicken Legs
Only 4 ingredients but soooooo moist and delicious!!!!!!!

Southern Style Mac & Cheese  (I fixed it so the link is correct now)
This will be my 'go to' recipe for mac n cheese!!!  Everyone loved it!

Baked S'mores
Made 3 batches this week!!  :)  I used an 8x12 pan and only baked them for 20-22 min.
Yummy!  Yummy!!  Yummy!!!

Thanks for stopping by!  If you can take a break from crafting, try these recipes!!
